What makes hotel content turn viewers into bookings?

Beautiful isn’t enough. Content that sells a stay helps a traveler picture themselves there and answers the questions they would ask before booking.

Seven principles

  1. Win the first two seconds: open on the strongest view, dish or moment, not the logo.
  2. Show the stay through a guest’s eyes: arrival, room, dining, experience.
  3. Give a sense of scale: a person in the frame makes a room or a pool easier to imagine.
  4. Answer real questions: what’s included, how far the beach is, what makes the place different.
  5. Keep it real: natural light, real moments and honest details build trust that polished ads often can’t.
  6. Test several hooks: the same footage with different openings shows what your audience responds to.
  7. Speak your guests’ language and end with a clear next step: book, save or visit the link.

Why a marketer behind the camera helps

I come from sales and marketing, so every shoot starts from your goal and your guest, not just the prettiest angle. Beautiful content is the starting point; content that sells is the job.
